SEAN CRIGHTON says the “scheme boy" in him meant he was never going to pass on throwing his lot in with Queen's Park for his bow as a boss.
The 35-year-old will take his first steps as a permanent gaffer in the Championship after racking up a wealth of coaching experience at Morton, Hamilton and the Spiders.
With Willie Haughey ending his backing next summer, club president Graeme Shields said this week Queen's will need to find £4.7 million worth of savings between now and June 2026.
Asked if he thought twice about making his first venture into management against such a backdrop, Greenock born and bred Crighton said: “I'll be honest, no.
