Teal's raider justifies trek to York

HUCKLESBROOK overcame the odds to bag the valuable Churchill Tyres Macmillan Sprint Handicap at York.

Roger Teal's charge was a 16/1 shot for the six-furlong showpiece despite scoring cosily at Leicester on his most recent outing.

The gelding almost didn't make it to the track on time after the horsebox he was travelling in broke down on the way north from Lambourn.

The three-year-old did manage to make it to the Knavesmire in time and showed no ill effects from that six-hour trek as he travelled well near the front for Joanna Mason.
