Actress to belt out Connolly classic

SHE shot to fame as Rab C Nesbitt's long-suffering wife, and won a new generation of fans as hilariously miserable Christine in Two Doors Down.

But now Elaine C Smith is preparing to pay homage to another legendary Scottish showbiz role - Supergran.

The 67-year-old will be a star turn at next weekend's Hoolie at the Hydro, celebrating the life and work of her pal Billy Connolly.

She'll pay tribute by performing the Big Yin's memorable theme tune for the hit 1980s TV show starring Gudrun Ure to an audience of 14,000.
