ADAM WEBB admits last year’s summer shambles proved very costly for St Johnstone.
The American owner celebrates a year at the Perth helm in a fortnight.
But he reckons the completion of his takeover came too late to correct a catalogue of errors that contributed to the drop.
Webb says Craig Levein started the season with a saturated first-team squad. Yet the omission of a goalie with top-flight experience played a big part in sowing the seeds of relegation.
Webb said: “There were problems going into last summer's window with far too many players signed.
