Political parties must be worthy of our vote

LABOUR will mark its first year in office this week with voters across the country brutally reminded why they kept Sir Keir Starmer’s party out of power for nearly a decade and a half.

The party snatched away pensioners’ winter fuel payments just as cold weather loomed and has launched — with no manifesto warning — horrendous tax raids on employers and farmers.

Labour has done its best to stamp out growth and the country now faces the prospect of more tax hikes in the autumn.
