'MICHAEL'S BEEN AN ABSOLUTE LIFESAVER TO ME'

Presenter Davina McCall on recovering from a brain tumour with the help of her partner and kids, her new book and listening to the universe

As far as celebrities go, Davina McCall is an open book. She's spoken candidly – and at great length – about her history of addiction, recovery, mental health, menopause and, more, recently, her life-changing brain tumour.

As we sit down with the TV favourite to catch up after what has been a rollercoaster year so far, she has plenty of newfound wisdom to impart.

At 57, the mum-of-three is also enjoying her relationship with friend-turned-boyfriend Michael Douglas, and the pair have had something of a “spiritual” summer.

“He's just next level,” she beams. “And he's been an absolute lifesaver to me.”

She's referring to, of course, his unwavering support, from her brain tumour diagnosis in autumn last year through surgery, and getting the all-clear in April.
