HOUSE-HUNTING giant Rightmove has benefited from this year's more optimistic housing market as mortgage rates fall, with buyer demand and property listings both up.
The FTSE 100 company, home to more than 80 per cent of all consumer time spent on UK property portals — said new listings rose nine per cent in the first four months.
The portal said those available have reached a 10-year high, with new buyer demand also up 5% and sales agreed up 7%.
The housing market has been buoyed by greater affordability due to the Bank of England's four interest rate cuts since August last year — the latest coming just a few days ago.
