THE van used by Del Boy and Rodney in Only Fools and Horses has sold for almost £20,000 at auction - but presumably with no money back, no guarantee
The yellow, three-wheeled 1972 Reliant Regal Supervan III is thought to be one of the original six used in filming of the BBC sitcom that starred David Jason as Derek Trotter and Nicholas Lyndhurst as his brother.
In the sitcom, it was owned by Trotters Independent Traders Del Boy and Rodders' dodgy business.
Classic Car Auctions, which sold the iconic van at Warwickshire Events Centre near Leamington Spa for £19,350 yesterday, said: "Coming from a private collector who has owned it since 2021, it was previously owned by John Mansfield of the BBC who also owned another example, which was successfully sold in 2017 for £41,625."
