ST HELENS captain Jonny Lomax says he always believed he’d bounce back from the axe — and never contemplated quitting.

The Saints legend and ex-England stand-off was dropped by boss Paul Wellens after the Challenge Cup quarter-final loss to Warrington in April.
He sat out three games but was back on the bench in the Magic Weekend loss against Leeds.
Since being returned to the starting line-up the following week, Lomax (right) has helped deliver four wins from five games.
After beating Rhinos last week, they will hope to pick up another two points against strugglers Salford today.
