Liberal with the cash...Sir Nick forks out £8m for star Firth's home

SIR NICK Clegg has proved to Boris Johnson there is life after politics, by buying Hollywood actor Colin Firth's home for more than £8million
The former deputy prime minister and his wife snapped up the grand Queen Anne-style house in West London that the Oscar winner bought in 2005.
But the high price tag won't worry former Liberal Democrat leader Sir Nick.
The 56-year-old reportedly earns £15million a year as Mark Zuckerberg's right-hand man at tech giant Meta, which runs Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp.
Their new home sits on a leafy road in a much soughtafter part of Chiswick.
Records show it was sold to Three Tigers Holdings Ltd in January this year. Sir Nick and Spanish wife Miriam Gonzalez Durantez, 55, are the only two directors of the company.
Last year the former MP announced he, his wife and three sons were moving back to London for personal reasons, which included being closer to his elderly parents.
He sold his five-bedroom mansion in California's Silicon Valley for £10.3million.
