JACK VAN POORTVLIET insists England's Six Nations disaster has not ruined him. Instead it has turned him into a Test match animal.
The 22-year-old started all five games and experienced the full range of emotions as boss Steve Borthwick's first squad was put through the wringer.
A 29-23 mugging by Scotland at Twickenham was followed by a predictable five-try win over Italy before England edged past Wales, in Cardiff, 20-10.
Then England were humiliated by the French 53-10 at HQ, before getting thumped 29-16 by Ireland in Dublin after full-back Freddie Steward's controversial red card.
But the Leicester scrum-half reckons he has bounced back from those catastrophes as England tune up for September's World Cup when they face Wales on Saturday.
