JUSTIN ROSE believes he has an extra bullet in his gun for golf's Majors these days despite approaching the autumn of his career.
Rose, who turns 45 next month, is hot favourite to be named Europe's Ryder Cup captain for 2027 at Adare Manor in Limerick.
But after being edged out by Rory McIlroy in a photo-finish at the Masters, Rose feels he can once again be a contender at this week's US Open at Oakmont.
He won the championship in 2013 at Merion, becoming the first Englishman in 43 years to do so, but feels he is a more complete player now.
"I've putted the ball better in the last five or six years than I did throughout my 20s and 30s," Rose said.
