Marmoush hat-trick answers prayers ahead of Real tester
THE Premier League may be about to say farewell to an Egyptian king in Mo Salah.
But Omar Marmoush served notice he is ready to wear his compatriot's crown after plundering a stunning hat-trick to open his account for City.
The £60million signing from Eintracht Frankfurt showed just why the soon-to-be-deposed Premier League champions were willing to pay in excess of his release clause to land him.
Marmoush, 26, completed his first-half treble in 14 devastating minutes, to send Pep Guardiola's side back into the top four and dent Newcastle's hopes of a top-four finish.
The two sides started the game level on points with the same goal difference, but City showed their superior class with a ruthless first-half demolition of Eddie Howe's side.
