ENGLAND and India should carry on scrapping in Manchester and showing they are “not robots” because it proves they care so much.
The aggression and passion both sides showed in an adrenalin-fuelled Lord’s clash will also boost the popularity of Test cricket and can help the long-game stay alive.
That’s the verdict of former Test fast bowler Steven Finn who has no problem with tempers boiling over and players clashing out in the middle in the heat of battle.
And Finn expects further spice and sparks when England — 2-1 up after the 22-run win last week — attempt to clinch the series in the Fourth Test starting at Old Trafford on Wednesday.
Captain Ben Stokes and a fit-again and firing Jofra Archer will be fully charged to try to repeat more explosive bowling displays, while India’s confrontational speedster Mohammed Siraj — fined for his part in a physical confrontation with England opener Ben Duckett — will also be pumped up in response.
