PLYMOUTH inflicted a first defeat of 2026 on League One leaders CARDIFF with a 5-2 win to open the door for LINCOLN to close the gap to a point at the top.

Argyle's third win on the spin was forged in six first-half minutes when Bim Pepple, with a brace, and Lorent Tolaj scored, while Omari Kellyman cut the deficit in that spell.

Kellyman's second gave the visitors hope but Tolaj's penalty doubled his tally and Mathias Ross ended Cardiff's 12-match unbeaten run.

The Imps' 2-0 win at MANSFIELD, their sixth in seven games, was achieved with goals from Rob Street (above) and Tom Bayliss.

BOLTON lost ground on the top two as they needed a late Mason Burstow leveller after Hayden Coulson and George Honeyman had turned things around for BLACKPOOL following Eoin Toal's opener.
