Could scented labels boost healthy eating?

DO YOU have a nose for good food? Then scented labels may be just the thing for you as a study reveals they could encourage us to eat healthier.
Scientists found that using pleas-ant odours on nutritional advice could help consumers make better choices, as currently many disregard or simply don't understand what they mean. Tests carried out by the Fraunhofer Institute for Process Engineering and Packaging in Germany, found labels designed to describe a product's healthiness may make shoppers think it tastes bad. Researchers Doris Schicker and Jessica Freiherr used brain-imaging technology to analyse the responses of 60 people as they inspected the labels of drinks.
All featured nutrition-related information, but some were paired with odours and some without.
