Felled trees are being left where they fall in some of Stirling's communities.

And while environmental and wildlife benefits are being taken into consideration in the decision, residents appear to be questioning the logic behind the move in some local cases.

At a recent meeting of Stirling Council, Conservative councillor Rachel Nunn asked convener of environment, transport and net Zero, Labour councillor Jen Preston, when it was decided that “wood waste from felled trees should be left in situ to reduce costs and provide habitat”.
