Plans to turn betting shop into takeaway

A former city centre betting shop could be turned into a convenience store with a hot food takeaway element.

Stirling International Food and Wine Ltd has submitted an application to Stirling Council planners for a change of use of the Betfred premises at 107 Barnton Street, including alterations to the shopfront.

In documents submitted with the application, agents for the applicant said: "The unit lies within Stirling city centre and benefits from high visibility, strong footfall, and excellent public transport connectivity.
