Urges donations based on zodiac signs
-
JAMMU: Mahant Rohit Shastri, President of Shri Kailakh Jyotish avim Vedic Sansthan Trust, has emphasized the spiritual and religious significance of Ashadha Amavasya, falling on Wednesday, June 25 this year.
He has encouraged the public to observe traditional Vedic rituals and make specific donations aligned with their zodiac signs to honor ancestors and seek divine blessings.
Amavasya, occurring once every month, is considered sacred and is governed by Pitru Devas (ancestral spirits). Mahant Shastri highlighted that Ashadha Amavasya is especially auspicious for performing rituals like pind daan, tarpan, and daan (charity). He stated that these practices help individuals gain relief from grief, illness, poverty, and the consequences of past misdeeds.
