Landlord steps down from role

A MUCH-LOVED pub will undergo some changes as its landlord announced that he is stepping down.
Owen Fowler was 25 when he took over the Masons Arms in Southport in October of last year.
At the time, Owen said he believed he was the youngest pub landlord in the town, beating the landlord of The Windmill who was 26 when they took it over.
The Victorian-era venue, with white-washed walls and ornate windows, is located on a narrow side-street hidden from the main road and is described as a ‘hidden gem.
