Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Wednesday (April 9, 2025) paid his last respects to the mortal remains of former Tamil Nadu Congress chief Kumari Ananthan, at his residence in Saligramam in Chennai.
Mr. Stalin also consoled former Telangana Governor and BJP leader Tamilisai Soundararajan, who is Mr. Ananthan's daughter, and other family members. Mr. Stalin was accompanied by State Health Minister Ma. Subramanian, MP Vijay Vasanth, and others. Governor R.N. Ravi also paid floral tributes to the mortail remains of Mr. Ananthan, who was a devout Gandhian, veteran parliamentarian, and distinguished Tamil writer and orator, the Raj Bhavan said in a post on X. Mr. Ravi expressed his heartfelt condolences to Ms. Soundararajan and other family members, the statement added.
