Marking the reopening of schools across Tamil Nadu, Krishnagiri District Collector Dinesh Kumar and Bargur MLA Mathiyazhagan jointly inaugurated the distribution of free textbooks, notebooks, book bags, and uniforms to students at the Kattinayakanapalli Panchayat Union Primary School.

As part of the state-wide initiative led by Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, educational materials for the academic year 2025-26 were distributed from the very first day of school. In Krishnagiri district alone, 2,03,883 students from Class 1 to 12 across 1,740 government and government-aided schools are set to benefit from the program.
This includes 1,89,933 students from 1,145 primary schools, 296 middle schools, 166 high schools, and 107 higher secondary schools, along with 13,950 students studying in 26 aided schools.
