Work to start at new city skatepark site
South Wales Evening Post
|December 10, 2025
EARLY work will soon start on the construction of a new street plazastyle facility for skateboarding and other wheeled sports at Swansea's Victoria Park.
How the new facility at Swansea's Victoria Park will look once work is complete.
(SWANSEA COUNCIL)
Swansea Council has appointed a company called Wheelscape to carry out the work, which is anticipated to be finished by the end of March next year.
Workers will be setting up on site this week, so the existing skate park there will soon be closed.
If possible, the existing mini ramp at Victoria Park will be retained and relocated.
Initial groundworks will take place on site first before main construction begins next month.
No works will take place over the Christmas period.
The new facility will be part of a £3m council investment in many wheeled sports facilities across the city for the benefit of skateboarders, BMXers and fans of other wheeled sports.
