Tough calls for Matos with transfer deadline looming

South Wales Evening Post

STICK or twist? That's the dilemma facing Swansea City boss Vitor Matos as the transfer window gets ready to close.

“It depends on the market,” he said last week.

“The most important thing is that we set up the profile and what we really need.

“If that then becomes an opportunity in the market, we will go for that.

“If not, we are fine because I'm really happy with the squad. I'm really happy with the players I have. I was already, that’s the truth.”

Matos (circled, right) has already seen two new players arrive in SA1 this month in the shapes of Joel Ward and loan signing Gustavo Nunes - but the Portuguese has hinted there may be more activity, should the opportunity arise.
