Tizzano is stood down by Schmidt after 'tough week'

AUSTRALIA head coach Joe Schmidt has urged Carlo Tizzano to shield himself from commentary over last Saturday's second Test after becoming the target of online abuse.

The Wallabies were left raging that Jac Morgan’s clearout on Tizzano in the buildup to Hugo Keenan’s final-minute try in the 29-26 defeat in Melbourne was not punished by the officials.

Lions fly-half Finn Russell had accused Tizzano (pictured) of making the most of the challenge, stating that he “obviously holds his head and tried to get a penalty from it” while former England flanker James Haskell declared he should have been sent off for “diving”.
