A TEACHER collected thousands of pictures of children as young as two being raped and sexually abused, a court has heard.

- JASON EVANS Court and crime reporter jason.evans@walesonline.co.uk

Police found Benjamin Charles Deuchars Gray had been visiting websites hosting indecent images of children with names like “sexy schoolgirls” for more than a decade, and Swansea Crown Court heard that many of the photos found on his devices were what are known as “visually unique”, meaning law enforcement agencies in the UK had not seen them before.

Dean Pulling, prosecuting, told the court that at just after 7am on October 2 last year officers from South Wales Police’s online investi gation team executed a search warrant at the defendant's home address in Swansea.

He said that during the search a number of electronic devices were located and examined and indecent photographs of children were found on an Apple Mac laptop.
