Ethan Galbraith stood out for Northern Ireland against Germany

The midfielder heads back to Swansea City this week on the back of two impressive performances for Northern Ireland, including an impressive showing against Germany at Windsor Park.

Nick Woltemade’s goal proved the difference in a tightly-contested affair in Belfast on Monday night, but it was Galbraith who seemed to really catch the eye.

The Belfast Telegraph claimed he had “continued his strong international form with a fine display against a German team that was hanging on at the end and relieved to hear the final whistle.

“The ex-Manchester United midfielder looked as likely as anyone in a green shirt to score with Northern Ireland piling on the pressure in the latter stages.”
