Premier star is latest guest at memorial dinner night

THERE are just a few tables remaining for the revived Glan Letheren sporting dinner in memory of the football hero.

Swansea City and Leeds United goalkeeper Glan, who was from Dafen, Llanelli, regularly held annual fundraising dinners in the town, with money raised helping to fund the sporting dreams of one youngster every year.

For almost 30 years the dinners saw him raise money, ploughed into grassroots sports locally, with a young recipient benefitting. Over the course of two-and-a-half decades, Glan's dinners raised more than £50,000.
