Labour lag as Reform UK tops Senedd voting poll

THE latest poll of the political picture in Wales has put Nigel Farage’s Reform UK top.

The poll, which asked more than 2,000 people how they will vote in the Senedd election in May 2026, put Plaid Cymru second and Labour in third.

The current political make-up of the Senedd is that Labour has the most seats, followed by the Conservatives, then Plaid Cymru. There are no Reform UK Senedd members in the current Welsh Parliament.

While polling can only ever project how people might vote, we do know the Senedd will be elected based on new constituencies and a new voting system and will return 96 instead of 60 Senedd members.

This poll, by Find Out Now, is similar to the most recent YouGov poll which put Plaid Cymru and Reform in the top two positions and Labour in third and on 18%, which is the same figure as this poll.

The poll shows Reform UK top with 29%, Plaid Cymru second with 27% and Labour lagging in third.
