Jones hopes some overlooked Ospreys will catch Tandy's eye

OSPREYS boss Mark Jones believes Steve Tandy’s appointment as head coach could breathe new life into the international careers of several key players.

The likes of Keiran Williams, Rhys Davies, Harri Deaves, James Fender and Morgan Morris have been consistently excellent at regional level for a number of seasons yet very few international honours has come their way.

But with a new head coach comes a clean slate and Jones is confident more of his players can break into the Wales squad.

“Absolutely,” said Jones when asked if the appointment of Tandy could lead to more international opportunities for the likes of Williams, Deaves and Morris.

“You get a lot of reward out of helping people achieve their goals and probably one of the most satisfying things you get as a coach is watching players go ahead and achieve massive milestones.

“International rugby is right up there as one of the best you can do, particularly playing for your country.
