Fundraiser Carwyn Lewis was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis more than a decade ago.

After being diagnosed with the condition 13 years ago, Carwyn Lewis has credited Swansea Bay's University Health Board's (UHB) MS specialist team for the care it has given him.

Carwyn said: "My life turned upside down after diagnosis, and my early treatments just weren't working. This team pretty much saved me. Since then, I've been stable and well, so I can't complain at all."

MS damages nerves in the body and makes it harder to do everyday things like walk, talk, eat and think.

Carwyn was inspired to raise money for the team and has so far held three annual fundraising golf days, which have raised more than £10,000.

The most recent day was held last month at Derllys Court Golf Club on the outskirts of Carmarthen and raised £5,000. The two previous days raised £2,200 and £3,000.

This year's event attracted around 140 players, with even more supporters joining for a charity auction and raffle.
