South Wales Evening Post
|October 25, 2025
ONE of the top Bob Dylan authorities will be hosting two book events in Swansea next month.
Chris Gregory will discuss his new book about the legendary musician, called Minstrel Boy on Sunday, November 9, at the Elysium Gallery in High Street at 2pm, and at 2.30pm on Wednesday, November 12 at the city's Dylan Thomas Centre.
Both sessions coincide with Bob Dylan's acclaimed Rough and Rowdy Ways tour, which will see Dylan taking to the stage at Swansea Building Society Arena for three sold-out shows on Sunday, November 9, Monday 10 and Tuesday 11.
Following the success of his book Determined to Stand: The Reinvention of Bob Dylan, literary and cultural commentator Chris Gregory returns with Minstrel Boy, the second volume in his ambitious Picasso of Song trilogy a deep-dive analysis of Bob Dylan's creative journey. Minstrel Boy examines Dylan's artistic metamorphoses from 1967 to 1990: a period of retreat, resurgence and rebirth
