Chain asks for support over new drive-thru

MCDONALD'S has asked the public for support in its plan to open a new drive-thru restaurant in Swansea.
The fast-food chain is aiming to create a new location at Parc Tawe North retail park. If it goes ahead, it will create 120 jobs and “excellent training opportunities’, it says.
The restaurant has now directed the public to its website, asking people to fill in a questionnaire with their thoughts as part of a community consultation.
It writes: “McDonald's is bringing forward plans to convert a vacant unit at Parc Tawe North Retail Park, previously occupied on a temporary basis by job centre, into a new restaurant and drive-thru.
“We are committed to listening to the views of the local community and want to hear your feedback on our proposals for the site.
