A NEW retro gaming lounge will open in Swansea city centre after the go-ahead was given by council planners.

Bid for retro gaming lounge adds to revival of city centre

Swansea council's planning committee was asked to consider a bid to transform an old food and drink outlet at 32-34 Princess Way into the new use.

The proposal, which was submitted by Matthew Mileson of company MB Games Ltd, will create 10 full-time jobs. The gaming lounge is planned to be open from 10am until 11pm, seven days a week.

The decision, signed by Swansea council's head of planning and city regeneration Phil Holmes, read: "The development hereby permitted shall begin not later than five years from the date of this decision.
