Trefelin see off promotion rivals to keep pressure on at summit

United remain five points clear of Trefelin at the top of JD Cymru South thanks to a 2-0 home win over Newport City.Second-half goals from Kyle Jones and Alec Bonthron secured victory.
Trefelin made light work of third-placed Ammanford as they stormed to a 4-0 away win.
It was their 12th clean sheet in 18 games this season.
Tyler Brock got the visitors off to the perfect start with a goal after 15 minutes, but then Luke Bowen missed a penalty that would have doubled the lead. Ammanford lost Babucar Sauane to a red card in the 20th minute and Bowen stepped up to hit the target with his second penalty.
By halftime it was 3-0 thanks to a Roan Piper effort and Jordan Davies added a fourth goal in the second half.
In JD Cymru North, Airbus UK Broughton took full advantage of Llandudno having yet another game called off.
