Rowlands decides to call time on his Wales career
South Wales Echo
|October 22, 2025
Wales lock Will Rowlands has announced his retirement from international rugby ahead of the autumn internationals.
The 34-year-old, who has been a mainstay in the Welsh pack for the past five years, bows out with 41 caps, three tries, and a Six Nations title in 2021, while he was also named Wales Men's Player of the Year in 2022.
Rowlands’ decision was made public just minutes before head coach Steve Tandy is set to name his squad for the upcoming autumn campaign - his first in charge since succeeding Warren Gatland earlier this year.
