House prices forecast to rise 3.5% in Wales in 2026

WALES is forecast to outperform England and Scotland for annual house price growth in the fourth quarter of 2026, according to a housing market forecast.

The nation is predicted to see growth of 3.5% in typical house prices by the end of next year, compared to 3% in Scotland and a Britain-wide average of 2.5%, according to Hamptons.

The firm said house prices across Britain are expected to record “modest” percentage growth next year.

But price growth in London is expected to be flat, with a 0.0% annual change in the fourth quarter of 2026 as the market digests tax changes, the property firm said.

It expects to see small price falls in the £1.9m-plus house price bracket, which it said is likely to be offset by price growth in the mainstream market.
