The annual running of Mendip Golf Club's Hodder Cup saw 51 pairs take part.

The qualifying round was won by father and son Phil & Matt Bendall with nett 61, on countback from Robert Ware & Tony Taylor, while John Hartley & Kevin Brimble were third on 62.

The Avalon A team lost a close match against Vivary Park, 3-2, despite wins for Nick White & Kevin Keene and Rob Edney & Alex Gay who was making his debut. They soon bounced back though with a 3-2 success at Oake, with wins this time coming from Edney & White, Tom Chapman & Spencer Pocock and Jack & Darrin Vowell.
