We are good enough to beat anyone

On the FIFA U17 World Cup draw
Looking at our boys, I think it's a good draw. It’s a draw that I think will take us to the knockout stages. I think we will finish second behind Italy. But having said that, Bolivia is going to be a tough nut to crack. I think we can beat Qatar and maybe draw against Italy, but I am not sure about Bolivia. Most of the time, South American sides are good and their playing style is similar to ours in terms of structure and how they play the ball. The only difference is that they are more physical and technically more advanced than us. But having said that, I trust our team and I believe in them. That group has what it takes to get us to the second round of the tournament and beyond. We shouldn't change anything in terms of our approach. Yes, in football you need to be cautious, but we shouldn’t worry much about our opponents. Of course, we need to study them and be cautious in our approach, especially in terms of understanding their strengths and weaknesses. We still need to do our analysis in terms of how each of our opponents plays and how we can capitalise. That will give our team something to work around in terms of planning. All in all, I don’t want our team to change anything because I believe we are good enough to actually beat anyone in this group. We just need to believe in ourselves and do the right things.

South Americans are very fragile
Last weekend we saw Orlando Pirates make history by becoming the first Carling Knockout champions to beat the All-Stars team, after both Magesi FC and Stellenbosch FC failed to do so in the previous two seasons. Pirates were forced to play without several of their regulars as they are in camp in preparation for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations. Coach Abdeslam Ouaddou's charges beat coach Manqoba Mngqithi's team 2-0 to be crowned champions, for the second time in a week. Congratulations to Bucs as they close the year on a high note.
