BUHLE BUKA - UNATTACHED
Hola Buhle, thanks for making time to be with us this week. Many people may not know who you are and possibly don't know that you tried your luck overseas. Please share some of the moments you had during your time abroad.
Thank you for the opportunity. Yes, I was in England and France. There was a time when I didn't have my passport with me when I was in France. I was at Montpellier HSC for an assessment. This was in 2018. There was a guy (an agent) who sent me there. As I was walking, I met the police, and they were like, "Where is your passport?" This was next to the train station. Apparently, there are a lot of illegal immigrants, so they must have thought I was an illegal immigrant. I did not have my passport with me, and they were like, "We want your fingerprints." I tried to explain that I was from South Africa and that I was there for football assessments, but they thought I was lying. The police took me to the police station for questioning. They drove me to the Grammont (Montpellier training base) and then they ended up getting confirmation that I was there for an assessment. That's when they believed me. I was angry at the time, but now I find it funny, ha ha, ha.
Ha, ha, ha. Were you not scared when the police took you to the station for questioning?

We knew the task was bigger than us
Congratulations to Mamelodi Sundowns on their crucial CAF Champions League semi-final first leg win away to Esperance on Sunday night. It was a gutsy performance by the Brazilians as they showed a lot of character against such a hostile crowd. The atmosphere was unbelievable as Esperance supporters came out in their numbers to try and intimidate their visitors, but the Chloorkop-based team stood their ground and remained resolute.
