Runners have one last chance to secure a ballot place for this year’s Great North Run.
The January Ballot for the 2026 AJ Bell Great North Run is now open, giving potential participants one last chance to secure a ballot place for this year’s iconic half-marathon.
Anyone wanting to enter will have to be quick, with the ballot closing on Sunday, January 11, at midnight. Organisers have confirmed that the ballot will be drawn shortly after it closes and all applicants will receive an email to confirm whether they have been successful.
