Organ donation in the UK plays a vital role in saving and transforming lives.

Every year, thousands of people rely on donated organs for survival, yet demand continues to outstrip supply.

According to NHS Blood and Transplant, nearly 4,600 transplants were facilitated in 2024-25, but around 8,000 people remain on the UK Transplant Waiting List, and more than 460 people died last year while waiting for a suitable organ. This gap highlights the ongoing need for more registered donors and greater public awareness.
