Hospital research chief in line for a national award

An NHS manager who has worked her way up the ranks to take charge of research which helps save lives has been shortlisted for a national award.
Claire Livingstone, head of research at South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trustwhich runs South Tyneside District Hospital-is in the running for the Manager of the Year (Nonclinical) category in the Nursing Times Workforce Awards.
Claire said: "I was very surprised and extremely honoured by the nomination.
