A man who caused the death of a 39-year-old mum in a horror crash has been warned to expect a "lengthy" prison sentence.
The driver who caused the death of Claire Laybourne has been warned to expect a lengthy prison sentence.
Claire Laybourne, of Hebburn, South Tyneside, tragically lost her life when the Volkswagen T-roc she was travelling in collided with a Skoda Fabia.
The driver of the Skoda did not stop at the scene on the A19 in Holystone, North Tyneside, at around 10.40pm on Friday, December 5, and instead fled on foot.
Both vehicles had been travelling on the northbound carriageway.
