ANDY BUTLER CHALLENGES HIS PLAYERS AHEAD OF FINAL GAME OF THE SEASON

- By SAM ALLEN

SCUNTHORPE United will likely find themselves in the play-offs again, and Andy Butler has challenged his players to remain professional in their approach to the final league game.

The Iron comfortably beat Peterborough Sports 5-0 at home on Monday to end the Easter weekend, but the damage to their title bid was done away at King's Lynn Town, where they fell to a disappointing 1-0 defeat.

That opened up a chance for Brackley Town and Kidderminster Harriers, who both went ahead of Scunthorpe by two points on Friday and stayed ahead to leave Butler's side hoping for an unlikely outcome to snatch automatic promotion back on the final day.

They will have to beat Hereford on the final day and then hope both Kidderminster and Brackley drop points, which seems unlikely given their final day opponents.
