THE Scottish Government's scandal-hit Justice Secretary has been criticised after boasting about a “fabulous” festive foreign break while her political career hangs by a thread.

- BY DAVID WALKER

Angela Constance is being investigated amid claims she broke the ministerial code by misleading MSPs at Holyrood.

It is the first time the independent advisers to the ministerial code have unilaterally launched an investigation into the conduct of a minister after being handed the power to do so. But First Minister John Swinney will still get the final say about whether to discipline his ally.

Ms Constance often posts TikToks and Instagram videos. But she has been slated, with political rivals saying she should focus on saving her job rather than enjoying trips.

She posted short clips of her trip to the ancient city of Perge, near Antalya in Turkey, which is famous for its Roman and Greek ruins.

She filmed a 360-degree view of the site, telling her followers that “one of the great things about the ancient city of Perge, in Turkey, is that it’s an absolutely massive site”, and in the caption she said her trip last week was “fabulous”.
