Nats still refuse to reveal Nic Covid limo details

THE secretive SNP Government has once again refused to publish details of where Nicola Sturgeon travelled to during the Covid pandemic using publicly-funded limousines.

- BY DAVID WALKER

But this time the party has used a different excuse, after previously making unfounded claims Police Scotland advised it not to publish details.

First Minister travel details have not been published since 2017 under Ms Sturgeon’s tenure. This means the public can’t find out how often she, Humza Yousaf and John Swinney take advantage of ministerial vehicles.

SNP ministers regularly use these cars to be taken home from Holyrood.

Previously, the Scottish Government claimed it did not publish these details due to “police advice”.

But, when asked by the Scottish Express, the service said they did not have any record of such advice.

The Scottish Express submitted a freedom of information request for details of Ms Sturgeon’s car journeys between 2020 and 2022, during the height of the Covid pandemic, when lockdown meant people were forbidden from travelling far.
