King wins permission for new maze at Scots castle

THE King has won planning permission for a maze at his grandmother’s beloved Scottish castle.
Plans by Charles to create a maze and folly at the Castle of Mey have been approved by Highland Council, but progress will rely on archaeologists not uncovering any important finds.
King Charles wants to add to the beauty of the Caithness castle, as he bids to attract tourists with the maze.
The attraction is planned by The Queen Elizabeth Castle of Mey Trust which manages the property on behalf of The King’s Foundation — to the south east of the castle.
