Jimmy Thelin hopes Dons’ point in Cyprus is a turning point
ABERDEEN manager Jimmy Thelin has urged his team to maintain the level of performance that earned them a point in Cyprus as they bid to shoot up the Premiership.
The Dons held AEK Larnaca to a goalless draw on Thursday to get off the mark in the Conference League.
The Cypriots were fresh from a victory over AZ Alkmaar and an away win over Crystal Palace, and Aberdeen showed major improvement following a 6-0 loss to AEK Athens last time out.
Thelin’s side have been on an upward trend in the Premiership with three wins and clean sheets in four games after starting the campaign with one point and no goals from six games.
Thelin told RedTV ahead of today's match against Motherwell: “The important thing now is to keep producing this performance, don't drop and don't be inconsistent.
