Catching up with my team

It's been a real thrill to watch Team GB in the Winter Olympics over the past month, enjoying not just the successes but appreciating the commitment and determination every athlete has had just to be able to stand on their respective start line.

This had me thinking about “Team Ordinary”, people like me and countless others who train and work, week in week out, for more personal reasons ~ not gold medals.

When I was at the National Running Show in Birmingham the other week, I had the chance to catch up with many old friends who share my ethos but have used their personal achievements as a catalyst to do so much more.
